Fortunately, Jack didn't have too late of a day at the office. Sue hadn't been feeling well so with some persistence, he managed to convince her to stay home and rest. Though, he did miss her today. Despite having worked together for so many years, and now being married for 3, he still missed her in the times that they were not together for the day. Especially for a reason like this where it was due to her feeling unwell that she wasn't able to come in.

He had made a quick stop at the store to pick up some soup for her before entering the home that they had bought not long after their wedding. As he entered, Levi came to greet him to which Jack knelt down and greeted him in return by petting his head. "I missed you today buddy," he told him, before raising to a stand when he saw Sue. "Hey, how are you feeling?" He asked, approaching her and trying to see at a quick glance if she was any better, or worse.

Sue had not been feeling normal these last few weeks, but in the last few days she had gotten a little worse. So she had taken off today in order to visit the doctor and make sure everything was ok. She didn't hear Jack come in, but when she did she found herself smiling a little brighter then normal. Normally Levi would warn her that he was home, but today Levi got to Jack first and Sue just happen to notice. "You would think he was your service dog," She teased, "with how he missed you today." Levi and Jack had bonded over time and they had become best of pals.

"I feel better," which was true enough since now she at least knew what was wrong. "The doctor gave me some vitamins." For the baby. Their baby. Growing inside of her. Sue was pregnant. And she didn't plan on waiting too long to tell Jack he was going to be a father. She wanted to make the moment special however, so hitting him up the moment he walked into the room wasn't the best idea. "Dinner will be done in half an hour, if your hungry."

YOU'VE BEEN GIVEN TOO MUCH

Jack chuckled at her tease about him and Levi. "What can I say, he certainly won me over early on . . . maybe even before you did," Jack said teasingly, clearly jokingly as he gave Levi a few more pets before giving his full attention to his wife. The concern still present over her health. "I missed both of you today," he admitted. It was truly a blessing to spend all day working with the woman he loved, and then coming home together as well . . . and somehow, they never got sick of each other.

"Vitamins?" He asked, finding that to be interesting. Maybe she needed something to boost her immune system? "I'm glad that it isn't anything serious then," he told her with relief, but still wanted to make sure she was resting until she felt completely better. At least she looked better. "I thought you were supposed to take it easy today, not cook," he teased, lifting the bag with the soup inside. "I picked up some soup on the way home in case you still weren't feeling that great." He couldn't help but look her over as if to further convince himself that she was truly better.

Sue laughed at his joke, but moved closer to kiss his lips softly--lingering a moment to savor the taste of him--before she replied. "You do loved the blondes," both her and Levi were 'blonde' (even if Levi was a bit more brown). It melted her heart that they had both thought to feed the other after that day, and she smiled at the soup he had brought home. The offer spoke at how much they fit each other. "Thank you," for the soup and the kind thought. She could always reheat it for lunch tomorrow.

"I got bored. My appoint was this morning, and I couldn't sit around all day. It was cook supper or go to work." She signed 'bored out of my mind' as s joke, since he had once felt the same. Laughing at the joke between them, Sue kissed his cheek once more. "Since the doctor said I just needed a bit more rest, I thought supper was the better choice."

YOU'VE BEEN GIVEN TOO MUCH

Jack closed his eyes as she kissed him, soaking in the feeling of her soft lips against his. No matter how many times they kissed, each and every one was perfect. A sensation he would never tire from. When she pulled away he slowly opened his eyes, his lips immediately curving into a smile. "Only certain blondes," he said playfully. No one had quite won him over like Sue had. And Levi, obviously in very different ways.

"Well in that case, I'm glad you cooked. I would have brought you right home if you showed up at work." She had incredible work ethic and so he wouldn't be entirely surprised if she did show up. He was just glad that she hadn't. Any extra rest she could get, was best. He chuckled when she signed that she had been bored out of his mind. "I know the feeling." All too well. "Well, thank you, for making supper," he told her, never taking these things for granted. "It smells delicious." Just like it always did. "The doctor didn't say anything else?" Jack asked, wanting to make sure there was nothing else he needed to be made aware of; no other imminent reasons for concern.
